HEART BREAK HOTEL

It has been quite a week.  I have been surrounded by such heartbreak.  The three year old I mentioned in another post was buried on Friday.  I am still not sure why this effects me so much. It just hurts my soul.  Not sure what I would do if I were the mother My BFF found out that her husband needed emergency surgery to remove and abscess that was eating away at his bone. He had the surgery yesterday and is heading home from the hospital tomorrow,  I hurt for them.  They have been through so much in such a short time and their support system is now 1500 miles away.  The reunion went well lots of fun.  We went four wheeling and then we went boating and a little hiking wish there would have been more hiking. and there was poker,  Jake did great and won a few times.  We are leaving tomorrow for the cabin and will be home on Friday or Saturday depending on how much work we get done up there.  Still trying to figure out a plan for going down to Utah.  Maybe it is just one of those t

Weekend in Review

We had a great time Friday and Saturday with family.  The wedding was great fun great food and lots catching up on family news. and then on Saturday Lee took the older kids to the river for the majority of the day they had a ton of fun although Lee did something that he shouldn't have done and hurt his back.  The little boys slept for four hours during nap time and it was amazing.  Saturday night we got together with several relatives who had come for the wedding but hadn't left for home yet.  I really enjoy hanging out with Lee's family.  They are loud and crazy but we love them anyway.  I so wish we were going to the beach this year.  But we aren't.  For sure next year.   Luke has decided that he doesn't want to nap today.  So he is super grouchy.  Then Andrew decided he wanted to finger paint with the contents of his diaper. Really it has been one those days where I just want to run away and hide.  The house is a mess.  I want it clean before we leave town on W

So....

So my sister in law was in a car accident which postponed her moving. So I am planning a trip to my parents' cabin in August right before the kids head back to school and I am hoping my sister in law will let us borrow her daughter for a day while we are up there.  We will be in Kamiah in October so the kids can see her then if all else fails.  Victoria and I just got back from three days/two nights in Stanley visiting a family I use to work with.  I loved seeing the girls all grown up (sort of) and Victoria had such a great time there was a tea party and jumping on the trampoline and a day at the lake.  Jake went with my mom for four days up to the cabin.  He worked hard and played hard and I am super proud of him.  We just registerd Jake for soccer for the fall.  Let the  fall crazy sports schedule begin.  Soccer starts August 25th.  I am not looking forward for us being so busy again but I think the kids need some structure. I have another job interview Wednesday,  this is t

Feeling sort of kind bad

I was trying to get to Kamiah so the kids could say good bye to their cousin.  Not going to happen for lots of reasons.  But it was more thing that I was stressing about that I didn't have time for.  So while I kind of feel bad I kind of feel relief as well.  We already have two trips planned in July and the kids have three.  Plus I work four days.  Lee works all the time and I honestly wasn't up for driving all the way there with all the kids.  Super excited for the 10th.  I am taking Victoria and the little boys for a couple of nights to visit a family that I assisted with the adoption of their three girls.  It was an amazing experience and they have allowed me to continue to be a part of their lives.  Jake is going with my mom to the cabin.  We will be home for not quite a week and then there will be a family wedding and then a few days after that we will be in McCall for five days.  Then it will be August.  We are hoping/planning a trip to Utah in August.  My mom said she w
