SLC and Deep Thoughts

Lee and I just had two great kid free days in Salt Lake City.  Pretty much nothing went as planned but such is life.  We did get to see the new Draper temple with all the huge expensive homes all around it.  I also got to see my first college room mate who had just given birth to the cutest little baby.  He was so peaceful.  I love newborns when I am not the one getting up with them every two hours.  Which brings me to my deep thoughts. If life would have gone as planned I would be six weeks from my due date right about now.  We would know the gender of the baby and I would be making plans on where the baby would sleep and which of my children would be sharing a room in the next six months or so.  Sometimes I get bitter but sometimes I think that my life is totally coming together and for what ever reason that baby just wasn't ready for us yet.  Usually I think it is us that wasn't ready for the baby.  I have the hardest time with people who already have at least two kids and

RIP Stormy Sorm

Well things never go quite as you planned. We brought Storm home and she never really recovered. We made the decision to have her put down and on Monday on the way to the vet she passed away. My son is now asking questions about if we will ever see her again and if we are reseructed will she be also. We told the kids that Storm was in heaven with the grandmother which I thought they understood, that was until yesterday Jake asked what Grandma was Storm with the one that lived her or the one that lived in the mountains. Then came the explanation that he had another grandma who died before he was born. I have told him this all before and he knows that Grandpa just got married last year. I really think it is the whole concept of heaven he struggles with. He told me he thinks it is the sky and then said maybe it is underground. He seems to take it all in stride but I can't always tell what he understands and what he doesn't. Yesterday when we walked through the door after
