Expect the Unexpected

Lee received a text from a good friend yesterday asking if he could stay the night with us heading to California.  That text ended with Lee offering to go with him.  So here I am for the next four days trying to keep up with Activity Days, Young Men's. STEAM night, and Jake getting an award Friday night.  Add to it me working two of those days and it will be chaotic but it was the right choice no denying that.  I knew as soon as Lee told me he thought he should offer to go that it was the right thing.  There was such a peace about that decision. But dinner is planned and we have our babysitter lined up.  And if there was a four day period for Lee to leave this would be the one.  Although it is crazy insane I work days instead of my normal 12 hour shift which will help the crazy a bit. So here I sit drinking my tea watching the Olympics feeling at peace about all the chaos.

Meanwhile....

I am so over this babysitter search.  I think we may have to go with the person who is WAY over priced.  I think with family we can make it through March and then I won't pick up any days in April or May which means I need a babysitter for a totally for four days those two months which we may have family help with.  Then in June then we will have the help of the older kids as well as some teens from church.  Who aren't an option during the school year. But I may find myself out of my second job anyway which is where a good portion of February and March's extra shifts came from.  But at this point I don't really care.  That job has been a source of stress for several years and I have toughed it out because of money and I really don't work that often.  I missed a training.  Sometimes that is a big deal and sometimes it isn't.  Another reason for not working more is that Lee's work just decided to add more properties and so he will be working late more and

FInally...I hope

After looking for nearly a month I think we have found a babysitter for the boys.  There are pros and cons but I hope and pray this will work out at least until the summer. After spending lots of time praying about this situation I feel good about the choice we made.  Today was her first day and things went well I think.  She only stays until the older kids get home and then she leaves so I didn't see her before she left.  Luke said he had a great time.  So we will see how the rest of the month goes.  I only need her for a few more days this month and a few days next month.  So after babysitting one day she said she couldn't babysit any more for me but refused to give a reason.  So back I go to searching.  There is one person who babysits in her home but her prices are way more then anybody else around here and so if I have to use her I will but I prefer not to. I am feeling so defeated over this whole thing.  I am becoming increasingly bitter at our old babysitter
