Yet another day at the hospital

Today I am working at the hospital.  It should have been day 2 of 3.  Instead it is the only day I am working. I am trying not to get frustrated with the money I am losing out on.  It is going to be a slow day here.  So I am doing an almost two hour power point training on the new Medicare policies.  Pretty sure I won't remember most of it but that is okay.  Yesterday Jake lost both of his baseball games but I could not have been more proud.  He did his very best and I could tell.  He is trying harder and becoming more confident. He has decided that he wants to play baseball next summer and soccer in the spring.  We are debating either Hawaii or Seattle maybe Texas for Spring Break.  Lee's sister is talking about going through the temple and then doing a ski trip in January.  But I don't think that is an option for us.  But she keeps changing the date of going through so we will cross the bridge when and if we get there.  I have pretty much come to the conclusion unle

Quick Update Post

1) Jake was accepted into the GT program and will start the end of October,  He was getting bored with third grade math so in addition to doing 4th grade reading/spelling he is now doing 4th grade math.  We have decided that maybe baseball isn't his thing.  We only have to make it through October and then we can move on to tennis. 2) Victoria is doing the same after school program she did last year and loves it.  She is going to be monitored to determine if she needs to be tested for a learning delay.  Ballet and Jazz is going so well.  Victoria is becoming such an amazing dancer and it is helping so much with her confidence. 3) Andrew just this week decided to walk.  Still doesn't really like because he can crawl much faster then walking but he is getting there.  He is also "talking" quite a bit.  We have him signing a few words which helps.  There about 10 words that we understand.  4) I am half way through this pregnancy and find out on Tuesday if we are havi

Dying and Friends

I was going to write about the events of the last two weeks and I probably will and post at a later date.  But I figure at this point if people want to know they can ask and people who care already know. The thing about the last two weeks is that I know who my friends are and they have so supportive despite two of them living what seems like a million miles away. I reached out to a family member to tell her things were not going well I was totally ignored.  I got over it.  Okay so I almost got over it.  Some people in this whole process have been so disappointing. My sister last night when we were at the hospital said that Life is good.  And last night it was.  Tomorrow may not be but right now that is okay.  It is going to be a long few months.  But that is all part of it.

Sleepless

What do you do at 3 in the morning when you can't sleep?Well this is what I did. I wrote a check and filled out forms for the kids art class which starts tomorrow. I ordered a book that a friend wrote and was just published. I read some blogs. Tried not to be super annoyed with blogs. I failed. I read some of the forums that I belong to online. I debated where I stood on some of the issues. Then i folded laundry and then did batch of laundry that is in the dryer. Alarm goes off in less then two hours. Going to be a long day tomorrow.

Two trips to Seattle

I got a text from my friend saying she was back in the hospital. She is hopeful she will be released tomorrow but they are considering putting her in a rehab for several days. So I booked a ticket for Seattle leaving Friday and home Sunday. Leaving Lee and the kids is hard I will miss Jakes baseball games. But I know it is where I need to be. Speaking of Seattle I booked Lees ticket for the first weekend in October. I will drive up with the kids and Lee will fly up Friday and drive back with us. We were hoping for a night away from the kids but I don't see that happening at this point. I can't imagine placing that on my friend.

Bored at Baseball Practice

I almost dropped Jake off for practice Nd then went to Target I am looking for an ice pack an Fred Meyer didn't have them. But the pain in my leg was more then I could handle. I am glad we stayed.Victoria found a little girl to play with and Andrew found rocks to throw and I was able to do some very painful stretches. Sitting is painful so laying in the grass is nice. Jake is the youngest kid on the team. One of the kids was talking about middle school. Several of the boys played on the team played All Stars over the summer. Really Jake is way out of his league but he is improving and seems to be enjoying it Dance starts next Monday and Victoria will be pushed. Hopefully not too far. One day Andrew will walk. :) he is my slowest walker. We wait a few months until we stress and by we mean me. Andrew is learning to sign and was in nursery on Sunday and loved singing time. Lee is working way too much and trying to learn his job. But I am so grateful for the job
