One of those days

It was one of those days that went from okay to bad to worse to ending just fine.  Lee went to go visit a friend for the weekend. Last night Victoria had a sleep over and I fell asleep with Jake watching TV.  I woke up at 12:45 and he was still watching.  Victoria told me when I picked her up that she stayed up late enough to watch the date change on the clock.  Two tired grouchy kids and one grouchy baby was not fun.  Added to the mix was one crazy two year old.  We survived.  House isn't as clean as I wanted.  but I did get some projects done like getting the Christmas lights down off the tree, picking our condo for Spring Break and writing a letter to a collection agency.  I also fed the kids and did a batch of wash.  Took three out of four kids to Target and went to the bank. Tomorrow we will pick up the house and have dinner with my mom.  I should have found a sub for my class but with nine o'clock church that is really unlik...

One decade down

Ten years.... One whole decade ago.... I am so glad Jake was the first kid.  He is so great and passionate about life.  He loves to read.  Loves it.  He is enjoying scouts for the most part.  He is loving GT.   He is far more sensitive then he wants people to know.  He is a fabulous big brother.   He is such a snugger.  He will curl up on the couch next to me or sit on my lap.  I wonder when he will out grow that.  Jake is so smart and comes with some really creative ideas.  He does have some down falls.  Since he is so smart he doesn't have to work hard t get all the right answers.  He doesn't lose well which he probably gets from Lee.  We have started playing more games as a family which has been good and Jake is glad he is now old enough to play. Jake loves to try everything once which is a downfall as well as a strength. Jake can be super funny.  Today when I asked where he was going to be in ten y...

Long Weekend

I just agreed to work (at least) a 17 hour day on Saturday.  Why?  Because last minute the hospital needed a fill in for the morning and  I offered to help.  We agreed the money from PRN will go to vacations and it should be enough for me to reserve our condo for Spring Break. It is only one day. I am a little nervous about Lee being with the kids all day and he is worried about me working that long day.  Another migraine for Jake today.  :( at least it happened after church but it happened when the home teachers were here.  Jake took a three hour nap and now seems to be better. Andrew is sick but doesn't seem to know it nearly 102 temperature. Right after I wrote this he crashed.  Only wanted to be rocked.  Good news is he went right to sleep.  Tomorrow is going to be a long day and Lee is working late.  So many little things that never seem to get done.  I have been staying home more which means more should be getting d...
