Packing

In order to get new floors and paint we have to pretty much move everything into the house into the garage.  "Movers" are coming tomorrow.  Dressers need to be moved and will probably won't be accessible to the kids.  So I came up with a plan.  Actually I saw my aunt do it years ago on vacation and I was going to try it on our trip up north but now get to try it early.  I have a million gallon sized bags.  So I wrote the days of the week on three sets of bags and then each bag has a whole outfit for a kid.  So in the morning all they have to do is find the bag with their name and the day and poof there is their whole outfit including underwear and socks.  I think it will work well and I am excited to make this packing thing easier.  Lee suggested I should have used shopping bags that we have a ton of.  Yup probably.  Would have been cheaper for sure.

vacations

So for the next several months I have a trip planned every month.  April-New Orleans May-Spokane and Kamiah (two different trips) June-Silverwood July-The beach August-SLC (I hope) Plus I am hoping for a trip to Oklahoma in May or June.  Try not to be too jealous. Plus this summer I want to go up to Seattle.  I love traveling and wish we could do more of it.  I wish I could take the kids more places.  But at the end of the day my kids have far more opportunities then the kids I work with.  We are blessed.  One of these trips I am really stressing about.  But that is a post for another day.  Looking forward to my next two trips.  Nice hotels good night sleep.  :)

Home Alone sort of

Today Lee took the cat to one of the store managers that he works with.  The older kids wanted to go as well.  I wanted to go but Andrew was napping and you know what they say about waking a sleeping baby... So it is just me and sleeping Andrew.  I am doing laundry on batch #5 and deep cleaning the kitchen.  Next weekend we will have company who are coming down to help with our floors and maybe painting.  We have huge plans I am just not sure it will all come to be.  We were going to go pick out floors today but Lee's dentist appointment went way longer then we ever imagined and then there was the dropping off of the cat and now Lee and the kids are at my parents so Lee can mow the lawn.  Soccer game starts at 4 so there is no way we can make it to the store that we wanted to by the time it closes.  But I am hoping that Lee will be up for going to Home Depot to at least look and get some ideas with me.  But maybe that will have to wait fo...

If you...

Find out your baby is allergic to cats you need to do the following:  (or we do) 1) Cry 2) Immedicately make the cat an outdoor cat 3) Find somebody to take the cat 4)Realize you have super amazing friends who are willing to help with following: 5) Replace Carpet 6) Replace Mattresses 7) Wash walls 8) Paint Walls 9) Get overwhelmed The end!  We are hoping we can get most of this done in the next ten days!

20 years

For the past twenty years since I was fifteen I had the same accountant.  He did all of my taxes and even did them after I was married.  For twenty years.  And then CANCER.  So I did my own this year and will probably do them every year in the future unless we strike it rich and need a CPA.  Wait...I know an accountant.  Maybe he should go get his CPA and then I wouldn't have to pay somebody  I feel sad about the ending era.  I feel sad about lots of things today.

Tough Times

Today was a rough day.  I am not even sure why.  The three hours of sleep could have played into it or all the family stuff going on or work pressures or money or job searching or the funny sound the van now makes or the six collection letters we got today or or or.... But at the end of the day as I sit her to post our March pictures.  Late I know I realize this is life.  Bad things happen people die cars don't last forever.  Best friends get sick and never get better.   We are blessed.  We really are.  We have three healthy happy kids (for now) we have generous parents.  We have amazing friends and extended family.   Life is good.   PS The six collection letters are not as bad as it sounds and this may actually be a good thing.
