Should be doing Homework...

I should be doing something besides surfing the internet and watching tv.  I am so glad we have break from school next week.  Then I only have one more week of class and then I am done.until January 7th.  Lee showed up with flowers today.  He is the greatest.  I am sure that it has something to do with hearing somebody we know is probably getting divorced.  I am very grateful to be married to my best friend.  I don't know where I would be with out him.  Life is good.

SLC and Deep Thoughts

Lee and I just had two great kid free days in Salt Lake City.  Pretty much nothing went as planned but such is life.  We did get to see the new Draper temple with all the huge expensive homes all around it.  I also got to see my first college room mate who had just given birth to the cutest little baby.  He was so peaceful.  I love newborns when I am not the one getting up with them every two hours.  Which brings me to my deep thoughts. If life would have gone as planned I would be six weeks from my due date right about now.  We would know the gender of the baby and I would be making plans on where the baby would sleep and which of my children would be sharing a room in the next six months or so.  Sometimes I get bitter but sometimes I think that my life is totally coming together and for what ever reason that baby just wasn't ready for us yet.  Usually I think it is us that wasn't ready for the baby.  I have the hardest time with peop...

RIP Stormy Sorm

Well things never go quite as you planned. We brought Storm home and she never really recovered. We made the decision to have her put down and on Monday on the way to the vet she passed away. My son is now asking questions about if we will ever see her again and if we are reseructed will she be also. We told the kids that Storm was in heaven with the grandmother which I thought they understood, that was until yesterday Jake asked what Grandma was Storm with the one that lived her or the one that lived in the mountains. Then came the explanation that he had another grandma who died before he was born. I have told him this all before and he knows that Grandpa just got married last year. I really think it is the whole concept of heaven he struggles with. He told me he thinks it is the sky and then said maybe it is underground. He seems to take it all in stride but I can't always tell what he understands and what he doesn't. Yesterday when we walked through the door after...

Our Storm

Storm is our cat. We have had her for nearly eight years. Yesterday something took a big bite out of Storm's leg. She had done a pretty good job of cleaning it up herself. From the time we got home yesterday until mid-morning she was under Jake's bed. Today while I was at work. Lee called and said that Storm looked like she had intestine hanging out and that he was going to take her to the vet. Lee was pretty certain that we were going to have to put her down. I was pretty emotional about it. I love Storm. Lee has more of a love-hate relationship with her but I adore her. The vet didn't seem to think it was very bad and stiched her up. We should have her home tomorrow. The price was half what we orginally were quoted so that is a good thing.

Pretend Weddings and Back to School

My sister in law had her wedding this weekend in Kamiah. I call it a pretend wedding because she elope nine months ago and just kept her original wedding date. Make sense? I was the photographer. Some the pictures will be deleted and she will never see them. Some of them turned out pretty good and with the help of photoshop I am sure they will be amazing. The wedding went much better then I expected. Of course I am always the pessimist. My mother in law did a done of work on the whole event and it really looked great. There were some minor problems, like Jake losing the ring moments before he was suppose to walk down the aisle as the ring bearer. And Tori running as fast as she could down the aisle. All in all it was a great event. Lee started back to school today and I return in just 2 weeks. Really some days I wonder what we are thinking. There will only be one day during the week all of us will be home. Work is well just work. It seems like there are problems popping u...

Our Trip that Never Happened

This is what should have happened this weekend Lee, his Dad and his friend end their motorcycle on Friday evening at friends house. The kids and I drive from our house to friend's house in Tri-Cities stay the night and then take their two kids and our two kids to Silverwood Saturday and we would head back home on Sunday. Here is what really happened: The kids and I leave our house around 4:40 which is 20 minutes early then I planned. We get to Baker City and the kids play for about 30 minutes on the playground. Then we head off to Tri-Cities. A few miles out of La Grande I have four voice mails and one text from Lee. I didn't have reception for about 30 miles. I know it can't be good news. My father in law blew his back tire on his motorcycle and they have to stay the night in Dalles, in order to have it fixed in the morning. Silverwood is out the window. So I have to turn back around and drive the 2.5 hours back home through construction at night. I have decided...

Oecanside

ss We had such fun at the beach this year. It was the first time we have been able to take the kids to Oceanside. They had such fun playing with all the other children. Lee's extended family goes every year. I am so blessed to have married into such a great extended family. Lee told me once it is like marrying into the mob and in a way that is true. The mob is loyal to each other, not really big on outsiders and you never cross them. So excited I figured out how to post a pic. Thanks Kristi.
