Showing posts with the label kids

Ummm...not sure.

Mixed emotions day.  Struggling with the fact with what we wanted to happen at the end of the year won't happen.  Church made it worse and then made it better.  Our class was better then normal in part because a few of the kids were out of various reasons.  Then a person said something that was really what I needed to hear.  I am not ready to start the week.  There was a crisis at work on Thursday and I am going to have to face the consequences of it on Monday.  Good thing is a good deal of my co-workers are out and I can get a ton of work done including packing my office up. The first two chapters of my thesis are due on Friday.  I feel like Chapter One isn't even close to where it needs to be.  I have four nights and five days to work on it.  Then I will be all done with this semester.  I am ready to be done.  Victoria's birthday party is on Saturday and then I need to get my graduations announcements done and in the mail....
I hate the fact that somebody else has to take care of kids because I am sick.  Not only do I hate being sick but also that somebody else has to take over my job of the kids and the house.  Okay well nobody has taken over the house.  School is at a stand still and I have no idea what I did at work yesterday.  I do know I had court and the judge wants one of the kids adopted by June 3rd before I go back in front of him.  But at this point the adoption is up to the foster parents and not up to me.  They have some thing they need to do but have to do so we are waiting and waiting.  I could have this thing done by now.  I did get invited to the baptisim of one of the little girls on my case load.  The family is amazing and I think I am going to go.  I have to feel better by tomorrow because it is Jakes first soccer game and they have a primary party at 3 where all the kids are going to dress up like bugs.  At 4:30 they are going to have...

Soccer Mom

It is official, I am now a soccer mom.  Jake started soccer tonight and he really enjoyed himself. Victoria and I froze.   He was really nervous at first but after about one minute he warmed up.  His coaches have far more patience then I do.  The league he belongs to is sponsored by the Nazarene church.  So after every practice they read a scripture to the kids.  The first game is towards the the end of the month.  I really think this will help Jake get ready for kindergarten.
