Book Review...Life without Limits

This book really touched me.  It is about a man who from birth was born with no arms and no legs and went on to do great things.  He is a motivational speaker however he had some dark times in his life.  He went on to graduate college and was truly amazing to me. I saw him on Dateline years ago and he was so genuine and sincere.  I suggest everybody read this book.  It may inspire you to be better then you are.

Today....

I did something super dumb today.  One of those things where you walk away thinking..Why did I do that?  Somebody (me) could have really gotten hurt.  It seemed like such a good idea at the time.  Maybe if we would have gotten a second opinion then things would have turned out much differently.  Maybe they would have turned out worse.  After that experience I am more certain then  ever I need to graduate and find a different job.  I learned today that if a 15 year old boy tries to kick out a back window of a car he can in fact jam the door into the driver's door so the driver's door no longer opens.  I am sure that Management is going to be super happy about that.  We did get to see Victoria dance class today.  We only get to go three times a year.  She is doing the cutest dance for the recital.  I am getting excited to see her on stage.  Her teacher is so amazing. Jake has a loose tooth and is getting molars....

Just a Minute...Book Review

60 Minutes Money Workout by Ellie Kay.  This book started out pretty good.  But then towards of the book it seems to repeat itself quite a bit.  It had a lot of good information but it wasn't anything that I hadn't heard before,  This book might be good for somebody who didn't have a good direction on what to do with their money.  This book is broken in to several different chapters.  Each chapter is called 60 minutes ______________ Workout.  The blank is filled with titles such as split personality, debt, travel and fun, and college plan.  There are several others as well. The chapter is broken up into several "workouts" to help you plan.  This book is great for budget beginners but not for somebody who is more experienced in that area.  I received this book free to review.

Money makes the world go 'round.

So after pulling credit reports last night and totalling student loans ( the number was more then scary) I have decided to start getting creative in making some extra money. So I am selling books on line.  Not sure how it will work but I am thinking it is worth a shot.   Not only am I hoping that it will make a few dollars but it will give me some book case space to buy new books.  I love books.  But we are running out of space. Maybe one day we will have a house big enough to have a study/library but this just isn't the time in our lives for that.   One of my goals for 2011 is to pay off Lee's medical bills as well as our credit cards. It is a huge undertaking for sure. In addition,  I have some other ideas for making money as well but I am not sure if I have the time I need to really give it a try.  So for now I am shipping off a box of textbooks and listing others online.  If it works I am going to start selling more.  If doe...
