The Six of Us

I almost dropped Jake off for practice Nd then went to Target I am looking for an ice pack an Fred Meyer didn't have them. But the pain in my leg was more then I could handle. I am glad we stayed.Victoria found a little girl to play with and Andrew found rocks to throw and I was able to do some very painful stretches. Sitting is painful so laying in the grass is nice. Jake is the youngest kid on the team. One of the kids was talking about middle school. Several of the boys played on the team played All Stars over the summer. Really Jake is way out of his league but he is improving and seems to be enjoying it Dance starts next Monday and Victoria will be pushed. Hopefully not too far. One day Andrew will walk. :) he is my slowest walker. We wait a few months until we stress and by we mean me. Andrew is learning to sign and was in nursery on Sunday and loved singing time. Lee is working way too much and trying to learn his job. But I am so grateful for the job ...

I caved.  There is no way around it and since it does not really matter in the end I did what they asked and they at the end I may write a letter although I don't think it would do any good at this point. I stand by my original diagnosis and I think they are wrong.  But I need that stupid paper so I am going to do it their way. 

What a week!!!  The kids are really loving school this year.  Victoria is disappointed she has to wait five days to go back.  Both kids are going through identity crisis and have decided to change their names.  Which is funny to me. Our garage sale was postponed due to a family emergency.  So now we are aiming for the tenth which will give us more time to get more stuff both from our house and my parents'. I am so looking forward to my trip Saturday morning.  A full weekend kid free.  Well my kids free. Jake started soccer and I think it will be great this season.  Victoria doesn't start dance until after Labor Day which has been nice to have a couple of week to adjust to school schedule before adding weekly dance practice.  She will be tapping this year so we went and tried on some tap shoes and she was super excited. I really need to get some pictures in here.  

Mixed emotions day.  Struggling with the fact with what we wanted to happen at the end of the year won't happen.  Church made it worse and then made it better.  Our class was better then normal in part because a few of the kids were out of various reasons.  Then a person said something that was really what I needed to hear.  I am not ready to start the week.  There was a crisis at work on Thursday and I am going to have to face the consequences of it on Monday.  Good thing is a good deal of my co-workers are out and I can get a ton of work done including packing my office up. The first two chapters of my thesis are due on Friday.  I feel like Chapter One isn't even close to where it needs to be.  I have four nights and five days to work on it.  Then I will be all done with this semester.  I am ready to be done.  Victoria's birthday party is on Saturday and then I need to get my graduations announcements done and in the mail....

I did something super dumb today.  One of those things where you walk away thinking..Why did I do that?  Somebody (me) could have really gotten hurt.  It seemed like such a good idea at the time.  Maybe if we would have gotten a second opinion then things would have turned out much differently.  Maybe they would have turned out worse.  After that experience I am more certain then  ever I need to graduate and find a different job.  I learned today that if a 15 year old boy tries to kick out a back window of a car he can in fact jam the door into the driver's door so the driver's door no longer opens.  I am sure that Management is going to be super happy about that.  We did get to see Victoria dance class today.  We only get to go three times a year.  She is doing the cutest dance for the recital.  I am getting excited to see her on stage.  Her teacher is so amazing. Jake has a loose tooth and is getting molars....

Tonight I was going to go to a church function.  But I ended up sick. Jake was sick as well so he curled up with me and watch Cake Boss.  If I didn't have to teach tomorrow I would probably not even go to church.  Depending on how tomorrow goes I may send Lee solo. We will see.  I just found out that our taxes were denied.  Either because I type in my kids social wrong or my w-2 was wrong. I thought I was half done with the chapter two which is due on Friday.  Turns out the professor wants 20 pages.  Which means Monday, Wednesday I will be in the computer lab.  I am thinking that when everybody is asleep I will be doing some homework in the business center at the hotel.   I have the information I just need to get into the paper.  It is a rough draft that if I can get written in the format it should be then I should be able to at least get a passing grade out of it.   Now that I am I home on Saturdays then the house is getting...

Today was my follow up doctors appointment.  Yup still nothing.  The doctor checked some things but wants me back for more blood work.  She said everything looks good and she came up with 101 reasons why things are going the way they are.  Funny thing she didn't agree with Lee's hypothesis. So I have to go back to Boise on Wednesday.  My insurance may not cover the tests so I may call it good and start over when we have more money.  Although with close to six figures in student loans who knows when we will have more money. We are leaving Friday for Washington.  We won't be back until Tuesday.  There will be racquetball, ice skating, adults only dinner out, fixing a lap top and just spending a nice weekend with friends.   A week from tomorrow I have chapter two due for my thesis.  Really struggling this time around with ideas and getting the whole thing pulled together.  I need to be able to focus and just start writing but it j...

The charter school I wanted Jake in had their lottery earlier this week.  We are still waiting to hear the results. If he gets in then our family vacation is cancelled.  Jake will start school the same day we were planning on flying to Texas on our way to Mexico.  However, our school district is planning on cutting teachers as well as freezing saleries.  Part of me feels bad about the cuts.  The other part me thinks that is what I have been dealing with for almost two years.  We have had nearly three weeks of furlough hours over the past year.  Health and Welfare lost over 120 people a few weeks ago. Plus our last raise was years ago. My guesss is that they really won't be firing 26 teachers they just won't be replacing the ones that retire or quit although that is just my guess.  I know of other ways that I think they could cut but of course they never ask me.  :) Lee's brother and wife and three kids are coming to visit next wee...
