Looking forward to July

I have been a little down lately.  There are several reasons that I won't go into but one of the reasons I was feeling down was Lee's bike trip.  For the past several years when Lee is gone the kids and I go on a trip.  It is great and we have a ton of fun.  But this year it just won't happen.  We have considered going to my parent's cabin but there are concerns with that.  People have been super negative about Lee leaving me for that week.  I am done trying to defend the trip.

Today I get a text from a friend saying she is coming to visit in July and the weekend she is coming.  It is the weekend Lee will be gone.  She is so easy going and mellow that she would be the perfect person to have around if I do go into labor.  Plus I usually fly up there to see her at least once during the summer and I was disappointed that just wasn't going to happen/

I am so excited she will be here.

Random Thoughts

I sometimes wonder where to draw the line in this whole blogging thing.  I could make us look like the "perfect" family or I could deal with all of our disappointment and make everybody think that we quite possible have the worse life ever.  Or maybe there is a middle ground somewhere that I have yet to find in this blog.  Today was a rough day.  Don't get me wrong I am so excited that everybody around me is having babies.  But for some reason today I was caught up in the losses all over again.  I am wondering when it stops.  Maybe it never does.  Maybe it will be a life time of wondering what if I would have gone full term.  Several people have asked when (or if) we are going to have another baby.  I am not sure.  Sometimes that answer is yes and sometimes it is no.  But one thing is for certain it isn't right now.  Really I don't need to have a ton of kids to fill some void.  I love my two kids and if that is all ...

Family News

What a weekend.  I blew out a tire 5 minutes into the trip and then had to switch out vans we hit some snow but nothing major.  The kids had a blast playing with the boys and although the bishop spoke too long at the ceremony the wedding was nice.  The reception was nice and the kids ran around with their cousins and Lee and I were able to catch up with everybody on their lives.  I am glad our kids are older and don't need constant supervision.  Several of Lee's cousins have kids in the 12-24 months age range.  That age is so hard and there was no way they would be able to run around with out adult supervision.  It was nice to get some family news like one cousin is a polygamist and another is getting married very shortly.   Another is traveling the world and another has made their home in the mountains.  One cousin is trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon and another is just trying to survive her husband's major depression.  Sev...

February

February was a tough month both mentally and financially.  The light at the tunnel was Phoenix.  Kids had a blast and it was great way to end an otherwise crazy chaotic month.  My goals were blah.  We paid off  more credit card debt then I though but I didn't sew as much as I wanted and I didn't run as much as I should have.  I also didn't read or declutter as much as I planned to.   Although I did reach my goal for losing weight.  So not a total loss. At some point I will file taxes and write a check to the state of Idaho.  I keep putting it off for several reasons.  At some point we will a check from FSA and our gap insurance.  Although a ten page EOB probably will take a while to get through. I think it was just one thing after another and I never felt like I gained my footing.  Maybe because I worked more.  Which lead to more in savings.  Still not where I want to be.  But better then it coul...
