Here is what we have been up to for the past couple of weekends,  Jake had his first soccer game.  Shawn came to visit.  Lee got a new RC truck that he loves and so do the kids.  They spend the weekend chasing the truck which totally wore them out.  We did some gardening.  Victoria and I went to Weiser to a baptism of one of my previous foster kids.  It was so great to see the family again.  I really miss seeing them on a monthly basis.  We played newspaper tag with Shawn and Demitri. Grandma Gina and Grandpa Don stopped by for a little while on their way home.  Oh yea and the primary had a bug day where the kids dressed up like bugs.  Victoria was a butterfly and Jake was a bee.

I  have four more days left of the semester.  Lee is in Kamiah this week to spend some time with Shawn before basic as well as some other things.

Random Thoughts

I sometimes wonder where to draw the line in this whole blogging thing.  I could make us look like the "perfect" family or I could deal with all of our disappointment and make everybody think that we quite possible have the worse life ever.  Or maybe there is a middle ground somewhere that I have yet to find in this blog.  Today was a rough day.  Don't get me wrong I am so excited that everybody around me is having babies.  But for some reason today I was caught up in the losses all over again.  I am wondering when it stops.  Maybe it never does.  Maybe it will be a life time of wondering what if I would have gone full term.  Several people have asked when (or if) we are going to have another baby.  I am not sure.  Sometimes that answer is yes and sometimes it is no.  But one thing is for certain it isn't right now.  Really I don't need to have a ton of kids to fill some void.  I love my two kids and if that is all ...

Family News

What a weekend.  I blew out a tire 5 minutes into the trip and then had to switch out vans we hit some snow but nothing major.  The kids had a blast playing with the boys and although the bishop spoke too long at the ceremony the wedding was nice.  The reception was nice and the kids ran around with their cousins and Lee and I were able to catch up with everybody on their lives.  I am glad our kids are older and don't need constant supervision.  Several of Lee's cousins have kids in the 12-24 months age range.  That age is so hard and there was no way they would be able to run around with out adult supervision.  It was nice to get some family news like one cousin is a polygamist and another is getting married very shortly.   Another is traveling the world and another has made their home in the mountains.  One cousin is trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon and another is just trying to survive her husband's major depression.  Sev...

February

February was a tough month both mentally and financially.  The light at the tunnel was Phoenix.  Kids had a blast and it was great way to end an otherwise crazy chaotic month.  My goals were blah.  We paid off  more credit card debt then I though but I didn't sew as much as I wanted and I didn't run as much as I should have.  I also didn't read or declutter as much as I planned to.   Although I did reach my goal for losing weight.  So not a total loss. At some point I will file taxes and write a check to the state of Idaho.  I keep putting it off for several reasons.  At some point we will a check from FSA and our gap insurance.  Although a ten page EOB probably will take a while to get through. I think it was just one thing after another and I never felt like I gained my footing.  Maybe because I worked more.  Which lead to more in savings.  Still not where I want to be.  But better then it coul...
