Five Weeks of Freedom!!!!

Well here I am at the end of the semester.  Life is good.  Five weeks of complete relaxation....Well there is that camping trip, trip up north to visit family. a trip down south.  I am also hoping to get my husband completely recovered. I have to still work full time and I have two kids that need their mother. Lee is doing so good.  His friend was in town this weekend and did wonders for Lee both physically and mentally.  We have the greatest people in our lives.  I am worried about how this semester ended up.  But I am done.   I need to get physically and mentally healthy.  Plus I need to find time to get the house clean.  Time to make friends with Flylady again.  Lee has started applying for jobs.  Not sure what that means or where that will take us. Bike trips and anniversary trip have been planned I am looking forward to one of them.  ;)

Surgery and Rescheduling Summer

Okay things have been insane around here.  A week ago yesterday we went to meet with the back surgeon he suggested Lee needed surgery.  Lee;s  hernia had blown to pieces and he was quickly losing weakness in his leg..  It looked really cool on the MRI.  The doctor was AMAZING.  18 hours after we met with the surgeon Lee was on the operating table.  Lee was released from the hospital that day and has been walking around.  The walking is huge he literally wasn't able to do that for nearly three weeks.  Also the doctor feels confident that he was able to cure the ongoing back pain Lee has had for nearly a decade.  Lee was suppose to leave on his annual bike trip last week and that has been rescheduled for October.  We should be leaving a week from tomorrow for Bear Lake but that is out as well.  I am leaving tomorrow for four days for a work trip and I am leaving Lee and the kids in the very capable hands of my parents.  Thin...

Half Way There

Hard to belive that we are half way through 2010. So I am going to address the goals I had six months ago.  I haven't lost the weight like I would have liked to, but I am working out and I am healthier which is so more important then a number on a scale.  We are heading to Mexico in just about a month and so I really need to put some effort into looking and feeling better. We are getting rid of stuff on an ongoing basis.  It is so freeing to get rid of things.  I love taking huge boxes of kid clothes to good will so we have more room and somebody will be able to use them.  I follow the FLYLADY plan and love it.  I can tell a huge difference in the house when I don't.  I am not one of those people who are a naturally organized person so having a plan really helps me. Lee graduated and is still looking for a job so our getting out of debt is going slower then planned.  Plus we have had some medical issues so those bills were added to the get out...

Weekends and Healing

So our weekend was fun packed.  One adventure after another.  Lee was unable to attend and I know the kids felt it.  We are all have fallen into a funk.  I am hoping the pain eases and we can move on.  Our weekend plans are in the air and I am voting we don't go to visit family this weekend and stay home. We should find out some news this week.  Good or bad, life will move on. Although at this point "good news" could be bad and "bad news" could be good I am slowly losing control of the house.  With Lee unable to help with anything the house looks like a tornado came through.  Most of my time is spent getting things for Lee and/or the kids and trying to get some homework done.  I went to work this morning and now some how there is pink milk flavoring all over the upstairs bathroom .  I am pretty sure that we won't be going to Kamiah which is disappointing.  But we will be able to focus on Lee healing and dejunking the house as we...

Fathers

Since it is Father's Day I want to write about all the great father's in my life. 1) My Dad.  He is one of the good guys.  He is so generous and such a great guy.  He has a way of offering advice with out coming out and saying this is what you should do.  Also he is a great grandpa.  He always has time for the grandkids. I have so many fond memories of my father. 2) Lee's Dad.  Also  totally amazing grandpa.  I so knows that he loves my kids.  He is also is so great to hang out with.  We love going up to Kamiah and visiting with him.  He has seen many trials in his life and has continued to stay strong. 3)  Lee is a great dad.  He is staying home with the kids and it is going great thus far.  The kids love their dad to pieces and I know that he loves them.  Lee loves teaching the kids things.  4)  My Heavenly Father.  Although I know that so many people think of God as something different t...

Weekend Update

I am waiting for Lee to get off the phone with his brother and so here I am.  We had a busy weekend.  Lee had a good friend in town from Washington and so the kids and I went shopping for Father's Day and went to the park with my niece.  The shopping was a totally bust.  I know exactly what to get Lee and I have known for months but I can't find it anywhere.  It is one of those things you can find anywhere but not the perfect one.  My primary class was pretty good today I think in part because I bride them with suckers. I got an A on the first part of my thesis and that was the motivation for what I needed this semester.  Then in my  field class my professor told me I am already doing what I need to be doing.  I am so ready to finish up the rest of this semester with a bang.  I feel more confident then ever.  Lee is still looking for a job which I am pretty certain he will be doing at least through the end of the semester. We a...
